Cartoon: Exposure
I bet you know that situation. I mean, the one on the first picture. And I bet you have more than once thought of reacting as shown on the second picture. Exposure – one of the myths of web development work. Spec works is one manifestation of it. Just do as much as you can for free and the orders will keep rolling in? I don’t know of any success stories. My best practice advice is: “Never work for free!”
